How to keep school age children entertained and safe this Halloween

Halloween may look a little different this year, but it doesn’t mean it can’t be super special, fun and entertaining for the kiddos! Staying close to home can still be creative!
We partnered with Spirit Halloween and decided to stay close to home and build a haunted house and create a spooky scavenger hunt in our backyard for the kids! Most of the people in our area and neighborhood aren’t trick or treating so this is unique but allows us to be safe!
As 2020 has been the year of adjusting – our love, delight and fright for Halloween hasn’t changed! We wanted to make an unexpected situation exciting for the kids! We went all out and decorated our backyard with all decorations and details from Spirit Halloween! The spooky factor is just enough for the kiddos but looks ‘cool’ and I swear they find something new to look at each time they go outside!
We added all the goblins we could fit, along with some freaky fun ghosts and spooky spiders! Skeletons and caution tape were a for sure and of course we needed some slinky spider webs! It was hard to even pick what we wanted to add because the selection at Spirit Halloween is so amazing!
We love the idea of grabbing Spirit Halloween costumes for the whole family – and with babe coming, how cute is the skeleton theme!?
