The Greatest Showman Halloween Costume
This years family costume probably means more to me than any other costume we’ve done in the past. Not only is The Greatest Showman one of my most FAVORITE movies of all time, but there are so many messages in the movie that give me all those tingly feels, and makes me feel blessed beyond words for the life that God has chosen for me! The soundtrack alone can get me teary eyed!
“It’s everything you ever want. It’s everything you ever need. And it’s right in front of you. This is where you wanna be.”
One of my favorite lyrics in the movie. Rings so true to me. And I never want to forget it. It’s so relatable and also a great reminder to see the love between their whole family, the feeling of wanting to give your children the world, and following your heart but remembering why you started everything in the first place. It truly is so moving to me!
I’m not sure if too many of you know this, but when Jason and I met, we started with pretty much nothing except a whole lot of love for each other. We lived in an 650 sq. ft “house” for the first two years of our relationship. We always talked about how one day we would build our dream house, one day we would have a family, one day we would make all our dreams come true…and here we are. Everything we always talked about and dreamed about, right in front of us! There honestly isn’t a word in the dictionary that could describe the fierce love I have for my family and how blessed I feel to be living this life with them.
Another message I absolutely love, is how Hugh Jackman’s character brings people together who are usually laughed at, and gives them a place to call home, lets them feel safe and not afraid of what makes you different, but rather, embracing it! It’s so important to remember to be proud of who you are, but also remember not to judge people for being different than you!
So with all of that said, I hope you loved our costume as much as I did this year! And wishing you all the best Halloween ever! Because “THIS IS ME.”
